A good average goose down will loft around 550 to 575 cubic inches per ounce.
Multi-threading:  The durability of the pillow is also dictated by the quality of threading, so higher the thread count, more the durability and softer the fabric. The threading at the seams provides support to as well as contains the fillings in its proper position. A higher thread count would keep the fill in where it belongs, and also help keep out impurities. It is measured in units of threads/sq inch.

Anti-allergic pillows: It is said that if we do not clean/replace our pillows regularly, 60% of our pillow would be a composite of mold, fungi and bacteria which would lead to various ailments, especially respiratory ones such as asthma and bronchitis. This is so since, while sleeping we tend to shed our dead cells in the form of skin flakes as well as some of us have a habit of dropping saliva. Anti-microbial and anti-bacterial pillows have agents that are present in the fiber of the pillow which not only kill bacteria but also suppress their multiplication. This of course is pretty useful for those who are prone to allergies and comes at a premium.
